WIP: Trading Notes in Computer Class
I'm beginning a novel based on a recurring thought I've had for the last few years.

I'm starting another novel (yes, even as I work on the previously mentioned Abel reboot and continuing with the Bloodbound series). Sometimes these ideas percolate at the same time, and like a chef you have to keep multiple pots stirring as they cook.
This one's rooted in a lot of my personal experiences of coming out in high school. As far as traumatic experiences go, high school was full of them. I've often wondered what I would do if I had the opportunity to change that experience. If I went back to that period in time, armed with what I know now, what all could I 'fix'?
In high school in the late 90s/early 00s, I was the only out kid and it left me very isolated. I felt that I missed out on a lot of the usual high school social experiences because I felt ostracized and excluded. I include dating among those experiences. If you're the only LGBTQ guy, it stands to reason.
But, as it turns out, I wasn't. A few years ago I learned that a boy I genuinely crushed on back then liked me back. What a missed opportunity!
Or is it?
Anyway, that's the basis of this particular work in progress. It's currently called 'Trading Notes in Computer Class' but that will likely change as I'm not fully in love with it.
